1. ORGANISING AUTHORITY
The Organizing Authority will be the Real Club Náutico Calpe under the jurisdiction of the International Sailing Federation (ISAF), the Real Federación Española de Vela (RFEV) and the Federación de Vela de la Comunidad Valenciana (FVCV).
2. VENUE
The venue will be the Real Club Náutico Calpe in Calpe (Alicante), Spain.
3. EVENTS GRADING
The event is an ISAF Grade 1 event. This grading is subject to review by ISAF Match Race Rankings Subcommittee. The event may be re-graded when there is clear reason to do so.

4.2 Unless excused by the organising authority, attendance at the following is mandatory:
(a) Initial and daily briefing, for skippers.
(b) Prize giving, for the final skippers and crews. All other competitors are encouraged to attend.
5. SKIPPERS ELIGIBILITY
a) 12 skippers will be invited. Only skippers invited by the OA will be eligible to enter this event. One invitation will be kept for the Real Federación Española de Vela (RFEV).
b)The registered skipper shall helm the boat at all times while racing, except in an emergency.
c) To remain eligible a skipper shall confirm acceptance of her invitation in writing (fax or e-mail is acceptable) to be received by the date specified in the letter of invitation. The entry shall be filled and sent to:

d) An entry bond of € 400 shall accompany the acceptance of invitation for this to be valid.
e) All competitors shall meet the eligibility requirements of ISAF regulation 19.2
f) All competitors shall obtain an ISAF Sailor ID by registering online at www.sailing.org/isafsailor. Skippers shall inform the OA of their ISAF Sailor ID at registration.
6. ENTRIES
6.1 The skipper shall be entered on completion of registration crew weighing and the payment of all fees and deposits. The payment can be made by credit card or bank transfer to the next account number:

6.2 Damage deposit
a) At the registration, the entry bound (€ 400) will be transferred into damage deposit for loss or damage coverage. This deposit is the maximum payable by the skipper as a result of any one incident.
b) In the event of a deduction from the damage deposit is decide by the OA it may require that the deposit be restored to its original amount before the skipper will be permitted to continue in the event.
c) Any remaining deposit will be refunded within 10 days after the event.
6.3 Insurance. All competitors are required to have adequate third party insurance.
7. RULES
7.1 a) The event will be governed by the rules as defined in the RRS, and including Appendix C.
b) The rules for handling of boats will apply, and will also apply to any practice sailing. Class rules will not apply.
c) Any prescriptions of the national authority that will apply shall be posted on the official notice board.
7.2 An International Jury (IJ) will be appointed, approved by the national authority, in accordance with RRS Appendix N.
8. BOATS AND SAILS
a) The event will be sailed in TOM 28 boats.
b) Eight boats will be provided.
c) The following sails will be provided for each boat: Mainsail, Jib and Spinnaker.
d) Boats will be allocated by draw, either daily or for each round as decided by the Race Committee.
9. CREW (INCLUDING SKIPPER)
a) The number of crew (including the skipper) shall be five (5), all of whom must be women. All registered crew shall sail all races.
b) The maximum total crew weight, determined prior to racing shall be 340 kg, when wearing at least shorts and shirts.
c) When a registered skipper is unable to continue in the event, OA may authorise an original crew member to substitute.
d) When a registered crew member is unable to continue in the event, OA may authorise a substitute, a temporary substitute or other adjustment.
10. EVENT FORMAT
a) The event will consist of Round Robin, Quarter Final, Semi Finals and Final.
b) The P.R.O may vary the format, terminate or eliminated any round when conditions do not permit the completion of the intended format.
11. COURSE
a) The course will be windward/leeward with starboard rounding, finishing downwind.
b) The racing area will be in Calpe Bay and is shown on LT Chart ref. LTP-02.
12. ADVERTISING
a) As boats and equipment will be supplied by the organising authority, regulation 20.3.2 applies. Each boat will be required to display advertising as supplied by the OA.
c) Competitors may be permitted to display advertising ashore at the venue, but this is subject toindividual negotiation with the OA.
b) Boats shall not be permitted the right to protest for breaches of any rule regarding advertising (Amends RRS 60.1).
13. PRIZES
a) Trophy for the Skipper and crews of the teams finishing first second and third awarded by R.C.N. Calpe.
b) First Prize: € 2.000
Second Prize: € 1.400
Third Prize: € 800
c) These prices have been approved by the RFEV.
d) ISAF has been notified of these prices.
e) The OA may reduce a prize in the case of misconduct or refusal to comply with any reasonably request, including attendance at official functions.
14. MEDIA, IMAGES AND SOUNDS
14.1 If required by the OA, television equipment (or dummies) supplied by the OA shall be carried on board while racing.
14.2 Competitors shall not interfere with the normal working of the OA supplied media equipment.
14.3 The OA shall have the right to use any images and sound recorded during the event free of any charge.
15. COACH BOATS
a) Coach boats shall conspicuously display identification of the team being coached. A coach boat is any boat that is under the direction or control of a person gathering information or giving material support for the benefit of particular competitors either on the water or off.
b) Any interference by a coach boat with the racing or event organisation may result in a penalty applied at the discretion of the IJ to the appropriate skipper or team.
16. ACCOMMODATION
The Real Club Náutico provides free accommodation for all participants from 14th to 18th of April, 2009.
17. DISCLAMER
All those taking part in the event do so at their own risk. The organising authority, its associates and appointees accept no responsibility for any loss, damage, injury or inconvenience incurred, howsoever caused to persons or things on the water or on shore, as a consequence of participating in this event.
The organisers call the attention of the participants to "fundamental Rule 4" of RRS: "DECISION TO RACE”.
